Environmental Standards for Magnesium Oxide Cleanroom Panels

Environmental testing for magnesium oxide (MgO) cleanroom panels primarily adheres to relevant national environmental standards. Key testing parameters include formaldehyde emission levels, volatile organic compound (VOC) content, and heavy metal content. Specifically, formaldehyde emissions must comply with the GB 18585-2001 standard ("Indoor Decorating and Refurbishing Materials-Limit of Formaldehyde Emission of Wood-based Panels and Finishing Products"), meeting either the E0 or E1 grade requirements-meaning emissions must be ≤0.124 mg/m³ (E1 grade) or ≤0.050 mg/m³ (E0 grade). VOC content must comply with the GB 18583-2008 standard ("Indoor Decorating and Refurbishing Materials-Limit of Harmful Substances of Adhesives"), and heavy metal content must meet relevant environmental standards for inorganic materials to ensure that toxic heavy metals do not exceed permissible limits. MgO cleanroom panels that pass these tests are safe for use in various indoor environments and pose no risk to human health or the environment.

The production of MgO cleanroom panels must comply with national standards such as GB/T 23932-2009 ("Metal-faced Sandwich Panels for Building Use") and JG/T 564-2019 ("Fiber-reinforced Calcium Silicate Boards"). Additionally, some high-end projects require certification from FM (FM Global) or UL (Underwriters Laboratories).
