Cleanroom Transfer Window

The Cleanroom Transfer Window is the auxiliary purification device used to pass small items between two cleanrooms, or between a clean area and a non-clean area, without opening the main door. The stainless-steel box has a smooth interior that wipes clean in one pass. Two doors - one on each face - are tied by an interlock so they cannot both be open at the same time: an operator loads from the unclean side, closes that door, and only then can the door on the clean side be opened. This keeps the two spaces from exchanging air through an open aperture every time a tool, part or sample has to move. A double-sided viewing window lets the next operator confirm the item is inside before opening, and a built-in UV disinfection lamp can be added as an option. The interlock can be mechanical or electronic, and the cabinet is offered in 201 or 304 stainless steel. The interior is welded smooth with no inside ledges, and when the UV lamp is fitted it is sequenced so it only runs once both doors are closed.

The recurring cost buyers feel is that every time a cleanroom main door opens, the pressure gradient across the doorway collapses and unfiltered air rushes in, which means the air-handling system has to work harder and the clean recovery takes minutes. Routing small-item transfer through the pass box takes that traffic off the main door entirely, so personnel doors stay shut and the room holds its pressure. Offering both a mechanical and an electronic interlock matters here: it lets the buyer match the control level to the room - a budget mechanical latch for a low-grade transfer point, or an electronic unit where the line wants automatic status indication - instead of forcing one price point onto every opening.
