PU Cold Room Panel

PU Cold Room Panel

The PU Cold Room Panel is a color-coated steel faced sandwich panel with a polyurethane (PU) foam core, continuously formed on a machine line into a single insulated building envelope. During production the PU foam is injected and foamed between two pre-formed color-coated steel skins, bonding them into one rigid composite so the core and face move together rather than delaminating.

Description

Product Description

The PU Cold Room Panel is a color-coated steel faced sandwich panel with a polyurethane (PU) foam core, continuously formed on a machine line into a single insulated building envelope. During production the PU foam is injected and foamed between two pre-formed color-coated steel skins, bonding them into one rigid composite so the core and face move together rather than delaminating. The PU core has a low thermal conductivity and a closed-cell structure, which gives the panel strong heat insulation and a continuous vapor barrier while keeping overall weight moderate compared with dense masonry. The two color-coated steel skins present a flat, smooth, easy-to-clean surface that resists dust and wipes down to food and pharmaceutical hygiene standards. The factory-rolled tongue-and-groove edge lets crews interlock panels quickly into tight, even seams; the matched male and female profiles also reduce thermal bridging at the joint. Length is produced to order so that wall, roof and partition runs can be laid with minimal offcut. The finished panel gives a neat, factory-controlled face on both the interior and exterior sides, and the cut-to-order lengths leave little waste on a tight construction schedule.

Because this panel is continuously machine-formed rather than hand-built, the buyer value is consistent insulation and fast envelope closure for cold-chain and food interiors. The PU foam is foamed to a controlled density along the line, so the insulation value you design around holds across every sheet instead of varying batch to batch, and the interlocking edge reduces on-site sealing and foaming work that otherwise depends on installer skill. For a procurement team this lowers two risks at once: uncertain insulation performance and a slow, labor-dependent erection. Where the project is driven by refrigeration energy cost and cleanable surfaces rather than structural span, this machine configuration avoids the premium of a reinforced handmade build and delivers a predictable schedule on standard-width runs.

Applications

  • Cold rooms and refrigerated warehouses - PU's low thermal conductivity keeps cold air inside, cutting refrigeration energy cost, and the cleanable color-coated face meets food-handling hygiene.
  • Food processing workshops - The smooth, non-shedding face wipes down easily and the insulated enclosure maintains a stable, temperature-controlled production environment.
  • Biomedical and electronic clean workshops - The flat, sealed panel meets a cleanable enclosure while providing temperature stability for sensitive production areas.

Customization

Total thickness, steel gauge and core can be adjusted; length is cut to order to fit your wall, roof or partition layout.

Packaging & Transportation

The panels are sold EXW (ex-works, picked up at our factory). Every order goes through pre-delivery inspection before it leaves the plant, and is packed with standard protective material to keep the color-coated faces flat and undamaged during inland transport. Production progress (order, production, inspection, packing and loading) can be reported to you with photos or video on request.

FAQ

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

A: For panel products the MOQ is 300 square meters. Larger orders qualify for volume discounts.

Q: What payment and trade terms do you accept?

A: Trade term is EXW (ex-works). For standard orders a 50% deposit is paid on contract signing and the 50% balance before shipment; for customized orders it is 60% deposit / 40% before shipment.

Q: What is the lead time?

A: Standard products take about 10 working days. Customized items have the lead time confirmed after we discuss the specifications.
